MK-V AR
The MK-V AR is a body supported camera stabilisation system. The core of the advancement of the Steadicam is the horizontal mechanism which makes it possible to move the camera freely while staying horizontal. A Steadicam operator can change from lowmode to highmode without any alteration. It is like a jib crane on two human legs. Dimensions are not limited to ups and downs, but also in depth and over or through obstacles.
The system combines three different techniques:
- It is like a Steadicam: The whole rig is based on Steadicam and operated by the same operators. The operator can walk, run, climb and can load all cameras which are suitable for a Steadicam.
- It is like a jib. The operator can make lifts from ground up to 2.5 Meters in one take. He can fly his camera over obstacles and through car windows. He can film with a major offset to his walking way.
- It is like a dolly. Instead of the dolly-tracks the operator is using a handsfree transporter. Even on a bumpy floor he can fly his camera smoothly and slowly and this while moving up to 20 km/h.
